Nearly all of us, throughout our lives, have had hobbies and interests of one sort or another from needlecraft, to gardening, stamp collecting, birdwatching, walking, photography etc. Being admitted into a residential home should not mean that these interests cease, in fact now that you have, hopefully, less stress and worry, and more free time, you will wish to either take up old interest or pursue new ones. Some of the in-house activities which are organised are:
Bingo Musical Entertainers Speakers Slide Shoes Dominoes Dinner Parties Fairs The home has a specially adapted mini bus for trips out. These are usually for small groups of residents during the summer months. There is no charge for these outings. Staff also take residents to walk or sit along the promenade during the summer months whenever possible.
